If you are new to line dancing, this is the place to “start.” Basic line dance steps, step patterns, and rhythms will be taught, which then will be combined into simple and easy-to-learn dances. T'ai Chi Chih - Beginners Class

Joy through movement and meditation in motion. Harvard Woman’s Health Letter calls Tai Chi “Medicine in Motion” and lists its numerous health benefits. The graceful, gentle movements improve physical balance and enhance spiritual balance. We will learn and practice the 19 Tai Chi Chih disciplines and several classical Qigong forms. Wear gym clothes and soft-soled shoes.

Assistance with Medications

Qualify yourself to assist with medications in assisted living, group home, and certified family home settings. Upon completion of the course, you will know the legal requirements for assistance with medications, be able to identify safety factors involved and know your responsibilities and restrictions when assisting with medications. Closed-book written exam and skills exam are conducted at the end of class. Begin studying the course manual* at least one week prior to the class This 8-hour course is taught in a one-day Saturday course or split between two 4 hour evenings. NOTE: These classes are fully face-to-face.

Photography for Stock Photos

Imagine seeing your photos featured on websites across the Internet, accompanying web pages in various languages from around the world! This class is for people who want to take their photos into the stock photo realm. You will learn what types of photos are in demand, how to give them a professional look, and how to read the tea leaves of upcoming trends so you can get your photos out there before everyone else! Using your camera or iPhone, you will be given tips and instruction on composition, photography skills, subject matter, and researching and recognizing what’s hot before the crowd figures it out first. The instructor is an accomplished stock photographer on Unsplash.com. This is a class for all levels of photographers: from beginners to more advanced. The course will include "field trips” wherein we meet in places around town or in the area to get photos. You will need to have a DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, quality point-and-shoot, or a smartphone with good camera capabilities for this course.

Electrical Apprenticeship (Year 2)

Continue building your future in the electrical trade with Electrical Apprenticeship - Year 2. This course provides second-year electrical apprentices with the required classroom training that supports their continued on-the-job learning and career development. Students will expand on first-year fundamentals through instruction in AC circuit theory, series and parallel circuits, inductance, capacitance, three-phase power, transformers, generators, motors, motor installation, electrical calculations, National Electrical Code requirements, and grounding and bonding. The course is designed to help apprentices strengthen their technical knowledge, code awareness, and problem-solving skills as they continue working toward a career as a licensed electrician. This is a non-credit apprenticeship training course and represents one year of the four-year Electrical Apprenticeship program. Completion of this course fulfills the annual State of Idaho classroom training requirement of 144 hours for second-year electrical apprentices. To better support working apprentices, the course is offered in a blended format that allows students to attend class in person or participate remotely through Zoom. This flexible approach helps apprentices stay connected to their classroom training while balancing work schedules, travel, and other responsibilities.

The course is designed to help apprentices strengthen their code awareness, system-level understanding, and problem-solving skills as they continue working toward a career as a licensed electrician. This is a non-credit apprenticeship training course and represents one year of the four-year Electrical Apprenticeship program.
