Fees for trips must be received thirty (30) days prior to scheduled departure date. Your reservation for the trip will be taken in order of payment, not registration. If we do not have the minimum number of people paid 30 days prior to a trip, we will cancel it. Fees are nonrefundable within that 30-day period except for medical reasons. If you cancel for medical reasons we will refund any monies that are not dedicated funds. Dedicated funds include bus costs, which are based on the number of people who have paid for the trip, and any nonrefundable expenses that NKA has spent on the trip.

Full Moon Hike at the Nordic Center
If you like hiking and moonlight, you’ll enjoy this hike at the Nordic Center during the Hunter’s Moon. Dress according to the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring a headlamp or flashlight just in case the moon hides.
Winter Wonderland – Christmas Snow Village 2026
It’s the season to visit a Winter Wonderland that has been decades in the making. The instructors will discuss how the over 160 Christmas collection of houses came together, and how the display was put together. You will have an opportunity to tour the 2026 Christmas Village that has been donated to the Aslett Museum of Discovery.
North Pole Express and Logan
Who doesn’t love The Polar Express? Get ready to step right into the magic of this holly-jolly 2-day, 1-night adventure! We’re headed to Heber City to hop aboard the Heber Valley Railroad North Pole Express—a 90-minure ride filled with Christmas cheer. Think hot chocolate, a delicious cookie, a souvenir mug, and lots of fun. Clean-up Sacajawea Park with Parks and Rec
We have many nice river/greenway trails in Pocatello and they all need a little love. Join in helping spruce up the Sacajawea area as you explore the trail. Equipment and trash bags will be provided. Check out the Pollinator Garden while you’re in the area.
Common Invertebrate Fossils from Around Idaho
Collectible fossils are abundant across Idaho, especially in the south and central parts of the State. Learn to identify common marine invertebrate fossils and what they reveal about their ancient environment.
Fighting Hunger in Eastern Idaho: A Behind-the-Scenes Foodbank Experience
Participants will experience a behind-the-scenes look at how hunger relief works in Eastern Idaho through an engaging Idaho Foodbank volunteer session and guided facility tour. Guests will learn about food insecurity in our region, how community partnerships support neighbors in need and the impact volunteers have on hunger relief efforts. The class includes hands-on volunteer activities and opportunities for discussion and questions. Attendees should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes suitable for warehouse and volunteer activities.
Malad/Samaria Welsh Festival
Come and learn more about the Welsh culture and traditions, while also enjoying the authentic Welsh cuisine. Lunch is on you own. Browse a variety of local artesian crafts and unique goods. We will then visit the Pioneer Museum, board the bus and enjoy a guided historical tour of the city.
