Fees for trips must be received thirty (30) days prior to scheduled departure date. Your reservation for the trip will be taken in order of payment, not registration. If we do not have the minimum number of people paid 30 days prior to a trip, we will cancel it. Fees are nonrefundable within that 30-day period except for medical reasons. If you cancel for medical reasons we will refund any monies that are not dedicated funds. Dedicated funds include bus costs, which are based on the number of people who have paid for the trip, and any nonrefundable expenses that NKA has spent on the trip.

New Day and Helping People with Disabilities in East Idaho
This will be a tour of New Day Products. For over 50 years, New Day’s mission has been to help people in Southeast Idaho with developmental and other disabilities to find employment and access to resources. This is a non-profit program, meaning that any profits made go directly toward supporting participants and the community.
Wings Among Wildflowers: A Guided Tour of the Sacajawea Pollinator Garden
Join us for a delightful morning nature walk exploring the pollinator garden at Sacajawea Park! You’ll have a chance to see a variety of bees, butterflies, beetles, hummingbirds, and other pollinators along with a vibrant display of blooming flowers. Please meet us at 11 AM by the Pollinator Garden signs, located near the park’s entrance. Due to limited parking, carpooling is suggested, if possible. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, bringing a hat, and dressing appropriately for any potential inclement weather.
Malad/Samaria Welsh Festival
Come and learn more about the Welsh culture and traditions, while also enjoying the authentic Welsh cuisine. Lunch is on you own. Browse a variety of local artesian crafts and unique goods. We will then visit the Pioneer Museum, board the bus and enjoy a guided historical tour of the city.

Collectible fossils are abundant across Idaho, especially in the south and central parts of the State. Learn to identify common marine invertebrate fossils and what they reveal about their ancient environment.

Nature Frozen in Time: Tour the Idaho Museum of Natural History
The role of museums as a locus for education, research, and the celebration of natural history is only possible thanks to what are often massive efforts to curate and preserve specimens. Get a glimpse of what happens at museums behind-the-scenes and the numerous challenges that come with caring for different types of biology collections – from frogs in jars to pressed plants. Tour the collection and learn about the tragedies, triumphs, and mysteries that lurk behind museum shelves.
Walking Tour of Zoo Idaho
Join us on a guided walking tour of Zoo Idaho. Learn about the animals on site and the ins and outs of zookeeping, etc. This is an outdoor event, dress appropriately with comfortable walking shoes.
Volcanoes and Caves, Gem Valley/Soda Springs Area (Part 2 – Geology Field Trip)

Fighting Hunger in Eastern Idaho: A Behind-the-Scenes Foodbank Experience
Participants will experience a behind-the-scenes look at how hunger relief works in Eastern Idaho through an engaging Idaho Foodbank volunteer session and guided facility tour. Guests will learn about food insecurity in our region, how community partnerships support neighbors in need and the impact volunteers have on hunger relief efforts. The class includes hands-on volunteer activities and opportunities for discussion and questions. Attendees should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes suitable for warehouse and volunteer activities.
