Paint Still Life

Join artist Deanna Eveland and learn to see the beauty in everyday objects while discovering the timeless art of still life. Whether you are a beginner or experienced artist, this course offers hands-on instruction in drawing and painting, composition, light and shadow, proportion, and color while working from a real-life arrangement. This session includes demonstrations, guided practice, and feedback in a supportive environment. All skill levels are welcome. Basic supplies will be provided. Create custom pendants in this beginner lampworking class. Poky Glass Art Studio artists will show you how to manipulate color, shape, and flow in glass. Glass Blowing - Paperweight

Create your own paperweight in this beginner soft glass class. Work alongside Poky Glass Art Studio artists to create a work of glass art! Participants will make a solid glass paperweight swirled with color. Choose from a wide selection of colored frit to make something you can display, while learning the basics of soft glass in our furnace. Participants may have time to make more than one paperweight, but each additional paperweight will have a $35 fee applied for material cost. Create Digital Art with your iPad

Want to learn digital art or get better at using Procreate? This relaxed, hands-on class will help you feel confident creating art on your iPad. Instructor Deanna Eveland will walk through the basics – using brushes, layers, colors, shading, texture, importing and exporting work and more. Bring your iPad with Procreate and a stylus (Apple pencil is best). All experience levels are welcome – just come ready to create and have fun! Everyone Can Draw

This is a 4 part multi session Class! For the person who always wanted to draw or improve the skills they have. Several different mediums will be introduced including, watercolor, pastels, and color pencil, ink. Papers and pens will be supplied, bring regular #2 pencils, a sharpener and a “simple box” of color pencils (Crayola brand works.) Each class you will go home with a completed drawing while learning several new tools and techniques to make drawing easy and fun. You just might surprise yourself. Class will meet on Thursdays, April 2, 9,16 & 23. Fee: $5

Sound Bath Music Bowls

Phil Dugas has been engaged in sound healing therapy for over 15 years. While in India he experienced a physical injury and discovered the healing power of sound bowls, which healed his injury instantly. This experience led him to become a Certified Sound Bowl Practitioner. He shares these powerful healing vibrations weekly in Lava Hot Springs and works with Hospice supporting people confronting mortality. Along with quartz crystal and metal sound gongs, this combination affects different energy, which respond to specific tone vibrations. Sound Bowl Therapy is an ancient technology used to make a difference in emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. Bring a mat if you have one, some mats are available. HWE - RV Camping email list

We are beginning our camping together this year on May 26-29 at Stoddard Creek Campground! Stay 1 to 3 nights. City of Rocks in June. On July 13-18 we will enjoy the beautiful Island Park Scout Camp. August 25-28 we have reserved Buttermilk campground in Island Park. In September we will admire the fall leaves from the Gros Ventre campground. Please sign up so we can have an email list to let you know about details for the planned campouts. We will have a planning Luncheon in May.

Argentine Tango Dance (Social)

Continuing our introduction to Argentine Tango dance and culture, by combining basic Tango dance steps, music, and relevant Spanish language terminology. The focus will be on expressing passion through understanding the music, while expressing connection with a partner, intricate footwork, and improvisation. Appropriate for Beginner and Advanced Beginner Tango dancers. Comfortable shoes with leather soles are recommended.
