Introduction to AutoCAD Windows 2020

Want to learn the fundamentals of creating high precision technical graphics? Computer aided design (CAD) is used in many fields. It can increase the production and clarity of the design concept. Computer-aided design is one of the many tools used by engineers and designers. Take advantage of learning some of the concepts utilized by those in-demand, high paying jobs that utilize this valuable tool. You will learn the alphabet of lines, basic AutoCAD commands used graphically in documenting your ideas, and then how to plot them to paper. While there are no prerequisites for this fundamental CAD course, you should be proficient in basic computer skills.

Introduction to Autodesk Revit

This 25-hour beginner-level night class introduces students to Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit. Participants will learn to create and modify architectural building models while producing professional 2D drawings and 3D views. Core topics include levels and grids, walls, doors, windows, roofs, stairs, dimensions, annotations, sheets, and schedules. Emphasis is placed on hands-on practice and real-world documentation workflows. By the end of the course, students will complete a small building project with floor plans, elevations, sections, and schedules assembled into sheets for presentation and export. Fluency in Autodesk AutoCAD is strongly recommended.

Introduction to Autodesk Revit MEP

This 25-hour beginner-level night class introduces students to the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) tools in Autodesk Revit. Building on prior Revit experience, participants will learn to create and coordinate HVAC, piping, and electrical systems within architectural models. Core topics include placing and modifying MEP components, generating circuits and schedules, checking for interferences, and producing annotated MEP drawings. Emphasis is placed on hands-on practice, model coordination, and professional documentation standards. By course completion, students will develop a small, coordinated MEP project with sheets and schedules. Prerequisite: Introduction to Autodesk Revit – 25-Hour Night Class.
