City Creek Records - Community Programs
City Creek Records is the internal record label run by the faculty and students in the ISU commercial music degree. These community programs give musicians of all ages the opportunity to collaborate directly with City Creek Records both in front of and behind the microphone.
Courses will be taught by ISU commercial music students, alumni, faculty, or associates. The idea is to expand the City Creek Record label into the community, and give everyone an opportunity to produce their music.
Students can learn how to play in a band as well as songwriting, recording, mixing, mastering, production, electronic music, and more!

Band Rehearsal (Adult) - City Creek Records
Join a band of any style and any age group. Band will be taught by an ISU commercial music student or alumni, who will also perform in the group. Each semester, the teacher will lead the band to learn one cover song and write an original song. At the end of the semester, the band will record their original song, for an eventual release on City Creek Records. 5-18 year olds register, for youth bands, 19 years old and older, register adult bands. $100 /month @ $25 per 45-minute class. Beginning Music Technology (Ages 5-11) - City Creek Records
A fun introduction class to help young kids (5-11) learn and play with various music technology instruments. Participating students will play with guitar pedals, synthesizers, samplers and more with their teacher. Recommended for 5-11 year olds. $100 /month @ $25 per 45-minute class. Recording Engineering Course (Adult) - City Creek Records
Participants in the Recording Technology course will learn live sound engineering as well as recording techniques. During the semester, students will work alongside the teacher to build and run live sound for the City Creek Records Bands at the culminating concert. Students will also learn how to set up and run recording sessions for each of the bands, so that we can produce an album of original music. $140 /month @ $35 per 60-minute class First registration, full price; each additional registration, $40 off per month for any City Creek Records Program for Fall 2026.
