Riding Instruction II
If you are an intermediate rider or have completed the Riding Instruction I class, the many aspects of horsemanship in this class will enable you to become a better rider. Continue to build your confidence on horses as you progress as a rider and learn safe horseback riding techniques. Instruction includes lateral control of the horse, transitions, balanced stops, roll-backs, pivots, and leads. Lessons will be western. Minimum Age is 18. Riding Instruction III
Are you a confident rider? Have you taken the Riding Instruction I and II classes, but want to learn more? Here’s your chance to explore advanced western riding techniques. The discussion will include improving your horse’s body control, stops, pivots, and leads, as well as learning several roll maneuvers. Minimum Age is 18. Riding Instruction I
Learn basic horsemanship skills. Each session begins with an informative equine-related lecture and continues with horse handling skills, riding techniques and instruction. The class is perfect for those interested in learning different aspects of horsemanship - a better understanding of horses enables you to become a better rider. It is perfect if you are a new horse owner, thinking of getting a horse, or even for a horse owner who realizes there is always something more to be learned about horses. Some of the topics include horse behavior and psychology, equipment types and fit, and horse health and first aid. Lessons will be western.
