I have been a member of Friends For Learning, Inc. since 2008 and have served on the board in various capacities including Secretary, Curriculum Chairman and presently as Public Relations Coordinator. Most of my friends are people I have met through the FFL organization including my husband, Allen Perkins.
A native of Rigby, Idaho, I graduated with a BS degree in Business and Education from BYU-Provo, taught English at Bonneville High School one year and at Central Junior High for 10 years. I worked 18 years as a journalist/editor for a large Midwest insurance company in Kansas City, Mo.
I love to travel and have visited many countries as well as numerous states in the U.S. I regularly serve at the Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center and in my spare time enjoy making charity quilt tops for that organization. My hobbies include gardening, sewing, reading and attending FFL classes.
