"Somatic movement is the use of gentle, safe movements to aid in managing chronic pain; improving balance, flexibility and posture; relieving day-to-day stress; increasing athletic performance; decreasing risk of injury; and shortening recovery time. Without stretching or force, learn how to restore comfort and flexibility with slow, natural, yawn-like movements that keep muscles functioning optimally. In this introductory class you will learn the basic principles, guidelines and some movements to pique your interest and get you started with this practice. No experience necessary; this class is accessible for all ages and abilities."
