Slips, Trips, and Falls - The Basics (6124-01)

 

This class covers the basics of preventing slips, trips, and falls - some of the most frequently-reported injuries in the workplace. Also covered are the definition of a slip, a trip, and a fall, the potential injuries that can result for a slip, trip, and/fall, and what needs to be done for protection in the workplace.

 

Slips (6124-03 & 04)

 

This class covers the basics of preventing slip accidents in the workplace. In addition to that, the definition of a slip, the environmental conditions increasing risk of slips, and what can be done to prevent slipping are also covered.

Trips (6124-05 & 06)

 

This class covers the basic OSHA safety guidelines involving trips in construction and other related industries. The class includes the definition of a trip, an in-depth overview of the hazards that are likely to lead to tripping, environmental conditions that increase the risk of trips, and what can be done to help eliminate trips and trip hazards on the job.

Falls (6124-07 & 08)

 

This class covers the basics of injuries associated with the use of fall arrest systems. Included in the class are: the definition of a fall, the five phases that make up a fall in a personal fall arrest system, and the potential hazards and/or complications associated with each of the five phases.
