Sexual Violence Prevention (HSM)
This course is intended to provide Community Health Workers (CHWs) with basic knowledge and skills useful in preventing sexual violence. This course consists of four self-paced modules, including reflection activities, videos, and quizzes. A collection of resources and further learning materials are included.
This module provides a framework for Community Health Workers (CHWs) to be part of the solution in responding to sexual violence in their communities. This training will provide a general overview of sexual violence, prepare CHWs to provide appropriate support to survivors of sexual violence, and provide CHWs with practical strategies, tools, and resources to assist them in their role to address sexual violence.
Goal: This training aims to help improve the response to sexual violence in Idaho communities and link people to support and services.
Students are encouraged to complete this module within two weeks. HSM access is for six months. A Certificate of Completion can be printed after successful completion of the course.
