"The Science of Sound presentation is an interactive exploration into the basic science behind what sound is and how modern technology manipulates sound.  Speaker Kevin Young engages the audience with several hands-on demonstrations to explain what sound is, how sound waves are produced, how we hear sounds, and how we manipulate sound using technology such as microphones, amplifiers, and speakers. As an electrical engineer and semi professional musician, Kevin uses musical instruments and electronic sound amplification equipment to help demonstrate several scientific principles during the presentation.  Audience members will have fun playing musical instruments and singing songs all while learning about the science of sound."
