The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of Prostate Health and Cancer Screening. As a Community Health Worker (CHW), it is important to understand some of the risk factors your patients may have and address the barriers that your patients face.
As a CHW, it is important that you not only be aware of prostate cancer but also of general ways that men can view the healthcare system and how it affects their care. As a CHW, you are not expected to (nor should you) provide detailed clinical information to patients.
Students are encouraged to complete this module within two weeks. HSM access is for six months. A Certificate of Completion can be printed after successful completion of the course.
