This course is designed to support student evolution in three areas; positive adaptability, distress tolerance, and self-awareness. These skills are critical in making it possible for students to manage the demands of school-family-life balance. Topics include career and academic effectiveness, an introduction to Planned Happenstance theory, as well as techniques for emotional regulation and mindfulness.
This course emphasis is on an honest assessment of personal strengths, challenges, and opportunities.
Group work is required and students will be assigned groups during the first session.
This course requires pre-approval from the START Coordinator. For additional information and the access code to complete registration, contact Amy Christensen at 282-4359 or email chriamy@isu.edu to set up an appointment.
