Taiko drumming is a form of music, dance, martial arts, and whole-body exercise. Taiko’s history in Japan goes back to the 5^th century and has been used in religious ceremonies, in farming and fishing communities, on battlefields, and in festivals. This workshop introduces basic forms, rhythm, Taiko language, and movements for short/beginner Taiko songs.
