Healthy Aging (HSM)

Description Registration

As a Community Health Worker, it is important to know people in the U.S. are living longer than ever before. Many older adults live active and healthy lives. But there's no getting around this: as we age, our bodies and minds change. There are things we should do to stay healthy and active. Some changes may be part of normal aging, while others may be a warning sign of a medical problem. It is important to know the difference and to let a health-care provider know.

Students will apply knowledge of Healthy Aging to successfully navigate patients through healthy eating and physical activity that supports a healthy lifestyle.

Students are encouraged to complete this module within two weeks. HSM access is for six months. A Certificate of Completion can be printed after successful completion of the course.
