We may think of the mines in Africa when we think of diamonds. Yet there were two great diamond rushes in North America in the 1980s -- one in Colorado and one in Canada. They led to the discovery of several of the world’s richest diamond mines operating today. Two old-time prospectors found what international companies missed – under a nameless lake in the Northwest Territories. How did they do this? How can you mine for diamonds under a lake?
