Together we will explore the world’s major religions and their relationship to each other. The course will concentrate on the Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as the great Eastern religious traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism. We will be looking at foundational texts, beliefs and practices of each religion, as well as seeing how these play out in the daily lives of each religion’s adherents. Just as importantly, we will learn about a framework for interreligious dialogue and exchange.
