The Swedish practice of Döstädning (death-cleaning) is a method of decluttering, based on which objects will be of value to loved ones after your death.  Döstädning is different from dösstädning (after-death cleaning), which takes place after someone has died and family members are left to sort through the belongings.  Döstädning Part I’s presentation suggests ways to avoid burdening your heirs/family with the task of clearing out your lifetime’s accumulation of belongings.  Other related aging and end-of-life issues will be introduced for discussion during Döstädning Part II.  Part II requires a separate registration.
