Demystifying Dementia Behaviors

As our population ages, dementia is increasing exponentially. Whether a direct care worker, family or friend, caring for a person experiencing dementia can be frustrating and has a lot of consequences. What is normal and what isn’t? What is the best way to respond to gain cooperation and maintain the dignity of the person while reducing caregiver stress and frustration? This course answers these questions and many more. 

Intended audience: Any direct care healthcare professional, family or friends working with and interacting with people with dementia on a regular basis.

Note: May 11th course is for nurses and nursing assistants only in celebration of Nurses Week. Each attendees must provide provide proof of nursing license, certification, or employment badge as entrance to the class.
