Photo of Sean McBrideAs coordinator of Idaho State University’s Cyber Physical Systems Security progam, Sean McBride prepares industrial technicians to defend computer systems that operate electric generating stations, oil refineries, and manufacturing facilities.

Before joining ISU, Sean pioneered the multidisciplinary field of threat and vulnerability intelligence for industrial environments. At the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) he instituted and led the vulnerability analysis and situational awareness reporting elements foundational to the DHS ICS-CERT. In 2009 he co-founded Critical Intelligence to help organizations that own and operate critical infrastructure to understand threats to the industrial processes they operate. His company was acquired by iSIGHT partners in 2015. After iSIGHT's incorporation into FireEye, Sean developed FireEye's ICS security business strategy.
