Caves in Idaho are uniquely formed  - in other words, just begging to be explored. During this class you'll approach geographic and geologic history from a new perspective while enjoying Mammoth Cave and Bird Museum, and Shoshone Ice caves. Entry to caves and museum included in fee, and a late lunch at Manhattan Cafe will end the tour so please bring carpool and lunch money.

You will encounter steep steps, wet walking conditions, dim lighting, and low ceilings in some places.  The beauty is stunning and well worth the trip to South Central Idaho. Learn more of the native birds and other animals in a museum constructed over a thirty-year period using lava rock and native trees.

Please wear sunscreen, good shoes and comfortable clothing for indoors and out.

Class fee: $20 (non-refundable).
