Bigelow Tea was started in 1957 in Norwalk, Connecticut by Ruth Bigelow.  It was one of the first teas to have a flavor different from just black tea.  Bigelow currently has 60+ varieties of teas.  Learn a fascinating history of tea, where it is grown and how it is manufactured. There will be a tour of the Boise factory and a sampling of teas.

For those on the tour, please note the following:

Everyone will need to sign in with the security guard.

Wear close toed shoes, no heels and no jewelry.

You will be required to wear a hairnet in the plant, so a hair tie helps for long hair.

If you have a beard, you will need to wear a beard net. 

If anyone has nail polish they will need to wear gloves which will be provided.

 

They do have an elevator for anyone that may need it.
