Idaho Detention Academy

This 6-week program is a detention academy certified by Idaho POST, in Meridian. All of our instructors are officers or retired officers. The curriculum will cover everything from Cell Search, Ground Control, Hostage Survival, Idaho Jail Standards, Report Writing, etc. This detention academy is a mixture of book-work, and hands-on training. At the end of the 4-weeks, the officers will take a certification exam in Detention. This is currently a restricted course. Please contact the Law Enforcement program at ISU for details to register. Call Kendra at 208-282-3083. This will run Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8-5 pm. Tuesday and Thursdays it is 6 am to 5 pm.
