ISU Craft Shop Give it a Whirl: Try Pottery on the Wheel
Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel. You will be able to keep 2 pieces. All tools and supplies are included. Two weeks after initial firing you will return to glaze your pieces. Please note: it is hard to throw if you have long fingernails.
ISU Craft Shop Needle Felted Bird
Use colored wool and a needle to form a cute bird that is sure to bring a smile to all. Please note that needle felting involves repetitive, physical hand and arm exercise.
ISU Craft Shop Mosaic Serving Tray
Arrange colored glass, tiles or stones using a mosaic technique to decorate an ornate but useful 10x13 inch tray. Bring items from home if you wish to incorporate something special. Will need approval from instructor for use.
ISU Craft Shop Silk Painting
Use a combination of wax resist and silk dye to paint silk that is pre-stretched on a 10-inch circular hoop. Come with an original idea or use a pre-made pattern to create a gift for you or someone else.
