James Perry is a Captain Paramedic (or as he is called "Perry-medic") with the Pocatello Fire Department, where he has enjoyed being employed for the last 22 years. He is also the Lead Instructor for Idaho State University's Continuing Education/Workforce Training Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Advanced EMT (AEMT) programs. In these roles, he has assisted in training and mentoring hundreds of EMTs who are working locally, as well as in other states across the country. He values time with his family, spending time outdoors, collecting "scally" hats and dad jokes, as well as getting to know new people. As his fire department crew would tell you, he is always "Perry-ing" [pairing] and "connecting" with others.
