Introduction to Dental Assisting
Learn the basic concepts and skills of dental assisting including terminology, dental charting, cavity classification, rubber dams, four-handed dentistry, and suctioning through classroom, online, and lab learning. In alignment with state requirements, students are required to attend 100% of the course to complete the program successfully.
Fundamentals of Dental Assisting w/ Expanded Functions
Learn the basic concepts and skills of dental assisting including: terminology, dental charting, cavity classification, rubber dams, four-handed dentistry and suctioning through classroom, on-line and lab learning in an intensive 13-week course. ADDITIONAL COSTS INCLUDE: Scrubs, Textbook, BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Training Certification. Clinical hours may be outside normal class hours, but students will be provided clinical dates at least one month in advance. Introduction to Healthcare
The Introduction to Healthcare course is a pre-requisite course to the Introduction to Dental Assisting and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course. This course will explore variousprofessions in the healthcare field, will teach study and test taking strategies, professionalism, basic medical terminology, medical math, basic anatomy and physiology, emergencyprocedures (First- Aid and CPR), customer service, communication, securing and maintaining employment (learn about job search, resume, interviews) and more!
