Idaho Community Health Worker (CHW) Practicum

This course page will provide resources, tracking, and reporting to complete an Idaho CHW Practicum. Trainees who participate in this practicum work with one (or more) Clinical or Community-based Preceptor Site to complete 48 hours of on-site experiential CHW training to demonstrate CHW skills and competencies. A certificate of completion is issued at successful completion of the practicum experience. Community Health Workers act as a public health professional who promotes full and equal access to necessary health and social services by applying his or her unique understanding of the experiences, language, and culture of the communities he or she serves.
