Dam to Farmland Tour, Henrys Fork Foundation

Friends for Learning will be hosting a presentation by Climate Adaptation Program Manager Dr. Christina Morrisett, who is with the Henrys Fork Foundation. Dr. Morrisett will lead a 4-hour car caravan “Dam to Farmland” tour through the Island Park region. The tour includes stops at: Big Springs, Island Park Dam, Ashton-area farms, St. Anthony canal systems, and Egin Sand Dunes. Dr. Morrisett will take us through how water moves from the dam through farmland and supports agriculture across the region. This should be a very interesting session, especially for those who enjoy learning more about local landscapes, water systems, and how our region works.
