Join Mayor Lisa Meikle Burtenshaw for a presentation exploring the challenges and opportunities facing Idaho Falls during a time of rapid regional growth. Drawing on her experiences as an engineer, school board chair, city council member, and now mayor, Burtenshaw will discuss how thoughtful planning, transparent government, infrastructure investment, and community partnerships help shape a strong and livable city.

The presentations will trace her journey from growing up in Idaho Falls and working at the Idaho National Laboratory to leadership in education and city government. Participants will gain insight into current issues affecting Idaho Falls, including growth management, economic development, public services, quality of life, and the importance of civic involvement in preserving the character of the community while preparing for the future.

Through personal stories and discussion of real-world city challenges, attendees will gain a better understanding of how local government works and how engaged citizens can help guide the future of their community.
