Beginning Photo Editing with Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop

Ready to turn good photos into great ones? This hands-on introductory course will teach the fundamentals of photo editing using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. Designed for beginners and hobby photographers, the class will cover a practical editing workflow from organizing images to making creative and corrective edits. Students will learn essential editing and photo processing techniques including improving composition through cropping, adjusting lighting and exposure, enhancing color, making selective edits, and understanding how to work with layers in Photoshop. We will also explore modern editing tools such as removing distracting objects or people and using AI-powered features to enhance and refine images. Requirements: Students must bring their own laptop and purchase an active subscription to Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop prior to the start of class. Some familiarity with basic computer skills is necessary, but no prior photo editing experience is required.
