This online Assistance with Medications Course provides the education and training to assist with medications in assisted living, group home and certified family home settings. Upon completion of the course, you will know the legal requirements for assistance with medications, be able to identify safety factors involved, and know your responsibilities and restrictions when assisting with medications.

This course has two components:

  • Online course which includes the written, closed-book exam
  • Skills testing with ISU instructor

The date you are registering for is for Skills testing and will also enroll you into the online course.

A valid email address is required for registration and will be used to access the online class

  • This online course is self-paced and needs to be completed prior to the registered skills test date. Failure to attend skills lab will result in a rescheduling fee.
  • Upon completion of the online course, a letter of online course completion will be generated within the online course.
  • Students will need to print this letter and take it to the skills testing.
  • Students who do not pass the written exam with an 80% will be given the opportunity to retake the entire course for $20 (contact us at (208) 282-3372 for retakes).
  • A printable certificate will be generated within the online class after successful completion of the online course work within Moodle and the skills testing.
