An apprenticeship student must have completed the 4 year Apprenticeship program (you do not need to have taken your journeymen exam), apply at the registers office, and complete 15 Gen Ed credit courses.

After applying at Idaho State University, an advisor from Experiential Learning will help you through the processor the PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) procedure to verify the credits you have already earned while in the Apprenticeship program. After that is completed you can enroll as an Idaho State University student to complete the required 15 Gen Ed credit to obtain the Apprenticeship Associate degree.

This is a great opportunity for any Apprentice interested in obtaining a degree to get credit for schooling and On-the-Job training they have already completed.

If you are interested in this program, please reach out to Apprenticeship Coordinator Paul M. Dickey to get more information. 208 282–3372.
