Ralph Jones
Farm Business Management instructor, Ralph Jones, enjoys a comprehensive background in agriculture. Through junior high, high school, and college he worked on a dairy farm in northern Utah. After his return from Vietnam, he spent the next 26 years as the owner/operator of his own row crop farming operation west of Twin Falls, Idaho.
For the last 17 years, Mr. Jones has taught Farm Business Management for Idaho State University. During his teaching career, his program has been chosen by the Idaho Division of Professional-Technical Education: Postsecondary Program of the Year twice, Honorable Mention Postsecondary Program of the Year once, Exemplary Program in Professional-Technical Education, and Special Programs Program of the Year. In addition, he has received teaching recognitions from the National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture, Leadership Idaho Agriculture, and received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Idaho State University College of Technology.
Because of Mr. Jones’ recognized teaching abilities, he regularly is an invited speaker at agriculture seminars in California, Canada, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, and Utah. Mr. Jones’ broad background in agriculture, plus his passion for teaching, provides for a unique and enlightening experience for those wishing to improve their business management skills in production agriculture.
