Barclay Roper
Barclay Roper has been in financial services for over 12 years, and most recently with Edward Jones Investments before opening his own registered investment advisory service, Tiger Capital Management, LLC in 2012. Mr. Roper holds a Master’s of Science degree in Finance, and certificates in Financial Analysis Levels I & II, from the College for Financial Planning in Greenwood Village, Colorado. He also holds a certificate in Personal Financial Planning from Utah State University and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Spanish from Idaho State University. Mr. Roper is also an adjunct associate professor at the College for Financial Planning where he teaches finance courses.
Mr. Roper is passionate about investing. He continually works at improving his trading and portfolio management skill through diligent research, practice, and implementation. He knows that hedging downside risk and profiting from the upswings of the market are paramount to his client’s success. Mr. Roper uses rules based and risk management investment techniques to improve portfolio returns.
Mr. Roper was the past president of the Pocatello Estate Planning Council and past member of the Pocatello Rotary Club. He moved to Idaho from Issaquah, Washington in 1997 and married Bethany Thiemann of Pocatello. They have been married for 13 years and have 5 children. Mr. Roper is an active member of his church and enjoys international humanitarian service. It was his pleasure to serve a two year mission for his church in Bolivia and he and his wife spent their first married year in Quito, Ecuador working with an orphanage support service headquartered in Rexburg, Idaho.
