Three Part Series (take any or all)

This series introduces teachers to ways to take advantage of smartphones to enhance teaching and learning.  Discover the five Cs of smart phone use in lessons.

Part one focuses on collaboration. Learn ways to do peer assessment with Google forms, share class notes, brainstorm, encourage writing and more with mobile devices.

Part two stresses creativity. Experience writing apps, such as My Writing Spot, Evernote and Dragon Dictation.  Write on-the-go with Tripline, create a ‘how-to” guide with Snapguide, and write to blogspot via Blogger.

Part three covers communication, coordination and curation with smartphones. Use Facetime and Skype to bring in audiences, Sustained Silent Reading to share articles and Twitter for in-class/extended discussion.  Organize diverse responses with Voicethread, use management apps effectively and discover exiting ways to incorporate and archive student videos and photos in class.
