Prenatal Nutrition (HSM)

Description Registration

In this module, we’ll discuss prenatal nutrition and other dietary related lifestyle choices. Pregnancy can be one of the most amazing times in a woman’s life. It’s important for her to stay healthy during pregnancy for herself and her baby. Pregnancy affects a woman’s body in many ways. Her metabolism, hormones, body weight and nutritional needs all change. Prenatal is the time during the mother’s pregnancy and before the birth of her baby. Prenatal nutrition is about how a woman’s diet affects her and her baby. Throughout this module you will be directed to nutrition education materials produced the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program.

Students are encouraged to complete this module within two weeks. HSM access is for six months. A Certificate of Completion can be printed after successful completion of the course.
