Idaho has an important, efficient food bank system that provides food aid to many Idahoans in need.  The Idaho Foodbank is an independent, donor-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1984, and is the largest distributor of free food assistance in Idaho.  The Idaho Foodbank reaches 163,000 recipients a month and the Easter Idaho Branch reaches 33,000 per month.  Rebecca Ristrem will explain how food banking works, why it is needed and why it is important.
