2015 Parliament of World's Religions: An Overview

The Parliament of the World’s Religions convened in Salt Lake City on October 15-19, 2015. The Parliament is the oldest, largest, and most inclusive gathering of people of all faiths and traditions. The conference engaged speakers and participants on several themes, including climate change, the wealth gap, wasteful consumption and global violence. The goal is for nations and religions to work together for the good of humanity. Some of the keynote speakers included Dr. Jane Goodall, Brian McLaren, Allen Boesak, Dr. Karen Armstrong, Whitney Clayton and Chief Avrol Lookinghorse. Participants from Pocatello who attended the conference will share their experiences at the conference. The forum will be moderated by Brenda Pollard, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints representative to the Pocatello Interfaith Fellowship.
