An introduction to the basic math skills set needed in the pharmacy field. Special emphasis will be given to areas such as fractions, decimals, percentages, comparisons of measurement systems, and pharmacy dosage calculations. Students will become familiar to the needs of pharmacy personnel.
Intended audience: Pharmacy technicians and students in the following ISU programs: Pharmacy, LPN, ADRN, BSN, physician assistant, and medical assistant. Textbook purchase required and basic scientific calculator needed as well.
