Basics of 3D Modeling

3D modeling & 3D printing are some of the fastest growing STEM fields. From hardware and software engineering to industrial design and manufacturing, these technologies are at the forefront of an emerging trend toward fast prototyping and rapid product development. Our workshop will follow the same process as an industrial designer—putting an idea on paper, turning it into a 3D model using a CAD program, and then bringing it to life with 3D printer. This workshop will give a hands-on chance to see how things are created so they can be printed, and includes an overview of the different career options they can explore in this emerging field!
