Students will learn how to pick out fabrics, cut pieces using a rotary cuter, strip sew pieces together, and press and sew the blocks together into a quilt top. We’ll finish the quilt top with a border. Lastly, students will make a trivet using an extra quilt block adding batting, back and binding to finish the trivet thus learning how to assemble the quilt. By the end of the class you will have a finished 49” by 58” quilt that can be used as a baby quilt or throw. While this is an introductory course, some sewing experience is required.
