On the first day of this two section class Dr. Holte and Ms. Alvord will give us an introduction to the botany of plants in the Bannock County area and their medical uses. All plants in the collection were identified and classified by Thomas Nuttall, who accompanied Nathaniel Wyeth and was at the building of Fort Hall in 1834.
The second day will be a walking tour to see the plants in their natural habitat discussed on the previous day. We will car pool to the area selected by Dr. Holte.
