Laughter Yoga is the best medicine for seniors to keep them in good cheer.  Good hearty laughter rids the body of stress, worry and depression.  It touches the emotional core and alleviates feelings of loneliness and isolation.  Laughter generates positive thoughts & reduces negative strains, which is a great therapeutic alternative. Laughter Yoga combines Laughter exercises with Yogic breathing, for a complete aerobic workout. Elderly people often suffer from a variety of diseases due to their reduced immunity.  Although not all diseases can be cured through this exercise, laughter may bring several positive changes of state.  It can serve as an instant stress buster, which may reduce the risk for cardiac diseases arising from stress.  Laughter helps to reduce blood pressure & lowers cholesterol levels as well.  Laughter Yoga exercises are simple, structured & entertaining.  They are easy & safe & provide a genuine form of physical exercise. Laughter Yoga appears to lift depression & replace it with a positive outlook.  Health improves -  many chronic ailments disappear & the exercise can improve mobility, communication and social relations.
