Effectvie Monetary Policy after 2008: United States vs. European Union

After the economic malaise of 2008/2009, central banks and policy makers in the US and the EU embarked on an aggressive monetary policy push to try and upright their economies.  However, each used very different (and opposite) methods.  Now, some 5-6 years later, the results are (somewhat) in.  We’ll look at the positive and negative consequences of each and which group will likely fare better in the end.
